Yes, the PMRT Online Community hosts regular exclusive live events, such as the ‘Pitch-your-Painpoint’ session. In these sessions, challenges from clinical practice, research, or industry are briefly presented and discussed. For instance, a nurse might present challenges related to remote patient monitoring and digital health.
Since 2022, the PMRT Live Event has taken place in Berlin as an interactive forum where healthcare professionals, researchers, and industry experts convene to discuss current challenges and innovations in patient monitoring and digital health. The event fosters the development of new ideas, collaborations, and practical solutions through workshops, focus groups, expert presentations, and open discussions. Since 2025, these events have adopted a hybrid format, allowing broader participation. You can reserve your ticket here.
Patient monitoring involves the continuous or periodic observation of vital parameters such as heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and respiratory rate. Specialized monitoring devices are utilized in hospitals, particularly within intensive care units, operating theaters, and general wards. As healthcare becomes increasingly digitalized, telemonitoring and remote patient monitoring are gaining prominence, enabling the safe surveillance of patients beyond the clinical environment.
Advanced health technologies, including wearables and AI-driven analytics, enhance data interpretation and facilitate personalized treatment strategies. However, alarm management remains a critical challenge, as frequent alerts can lead to alarm fatigue, necessitating strategic interventions to minimize unnecessary alarms. Integrating these technologies into electronic health records enhances clinical process efficiency and supports a connected, patient-centric model of care.
